Children’s Skiing
Children's Saturday Ski Workshop
Every Saturday morning our slopes are available only to children for a supervised ski session. Instructors are on the slope the give tips, advice and help them progress through a relaxed format. This is a group lesson, so abilities will vary in each group but the children will be kept in similar ability levels as they progress up the slope.
Age range is strictly 7-15 yrs.
No bookings are taken, places are issued on a first come first served basis. Dec, Jan, & Feb are very busy so arrive early for your session.
Cost is £18 per workshop (£14 for members)

Vikings Race Team
The Vikings aim is to promote ski racing of all kinds from basic club level through to National squad level and beyond. Vikings aims to teach children (and adults) how to race through slalom poles on dry slope and snow. It does not teach skiers how to perfect their general skiing techniques, this is taught in workshops set at other times.
Vikings are active in both the Eastern Region Snowsports Association (ERSA) which is the governing body for the region and the national governing body Snowsport England (SSE).

Saturday Children’s Workshop (7-15yrs) No booking required!
Improvers 10:30-11:45 (All year)
The ability levels in this session will range from controlled Snowplough to parallel. Fun and learning are key words used for this session. Instructors will be on hand to develop each pupil’s control of speed and direction, as well as agility and confidence.
This group of skiers is the feeding ground for the Suffolk Ski Centre team, THE VIKINGS.
Beginners 12:00-1:15 (September to April)
This session is designed for children who have never skied before, or only had a couple of lessons. Once their instructor feels they are safe enough they can move up to the 10:30 Improvers!
Kindergarten 4 - 6 yrs Runs from October to March
Saturdays 14:00 to 14:45 – Starting 1st & 3rd of each month
This group session is for children aged 4 to 6 years old; a two-week course for £25. They will start on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. Book your child on to a course and once they have learnt the basics they can move on to private lessons. Courses must be pre-booked.
The aim is to get your child used to boots and skis, moving around in them, some straight running & hopefully snowploughs.
We do offer 30-minute private lessons for children aged 4 to 6. The cost for this is £33 for the first child and then £10 per additional child. Speak to reception for further details.
