Freestyle Ski and Board area….Check it out!!!

Please note! - All our activities run in all weathers - toboggans, skis, snowboards and ringos run better in the rain…and even faster in the snow!

At Suffolk Ski and Leisure Park you are welcome to come and ski or snowboard all year round - as long as you can control speed and line (i.e. turn, slow down and stop in control) and use the button lifts safely, you are welcome to go out on the slopes at any time we are open (with the exception of Saturday mornings, which is when the vikings race squad and children's beginner workshop are on the slope).

If you are new to artificial slopes the techniques & equipment you use on snow are the same, with the only real difference being that skis and snowboards generally glide easier and faster on snow; but once you’ve had a couple of runs you’ll soon adjust . There are also a range of slopes and levels so you can start slowly and work your way up to our main 180m slope, with automated sprinkler system to keep things running along nicely!

As with any sport, practice makes perfect, and with over 30 years experience and ex England Skier, Paul Trinder we can definitely say that if you can ski and board well on an artificial slope, you will be in great shape for the mountains. Skiing and snowboarding are also a great way to stay fit and improve core muscle strength.

So what are you waiting for….get in the garage and dig out those cobweb covered boots, put on the luminous Nevica one piece suit (actually don’t do that), get yourself down here and get practising!  If you don’t have your own equipment (or your a bit embarrassed to show off your eighties clobber) we can supply you with everything you need - skis and ski boots are included in our prices, snowboards and boots carry a small charge, but pads and helmets are free if required.

Finally, if you’re not sure about heading out on your own we run a range of instructor lead sessions, from our Wednesday Coffee Morning through to one on one Private Lessons, to help ease you in gently!
